Summary

This section describes how to install  the Kaholo Agent on the remote server of the following OS types:

  • Ubuntu
  • CentOS
  • Windows
  • OSX service

Don’t forget to set the configuration file before starting the service.

PreReq

Before you install your Kaholo server make sure you have:

Installations:

Ubuntu

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb https://kaholo.jfrog.io/artifactory/debian trusty main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kaholo-agent
  • Set configuration in kaholo-agent.conf See at the bottom.
sudo systemctl enable kaholo-agent
sudo service kaholo-agent start

CentOS

sudo wget https://kaholo.jfrog.io/artifactory/rpm/kaholo.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/kaholo.repo
sudo yum install kaholo-agent
  • Set configuration in kaholo-agent.conf See at the bottom.
sudo service kaholo-agent start 

Windows

In order to install the Kaholo agent as a windows service do the following:

git clone https://github.com/Kaholo/kaholo-agent.git
cd kaholo-agent
npm install --production
npm install node-windows
rename kaholo-agent.conf.example kaholo-agent.conf
  • Set configuration in kaholo-agent.conf See at the bottom.
npm run install:windows

OSX

In order to install the Kaholo agent as a service on OSX do the following:

git clone https://github.com/Kaholo/kaholo-agent.git
cd <repo_directory>
npm install --production
npm install node-mac
mv kaholo-agent.conf.example kaholo-agent.conf
  • Set configuration in kaholo-agent.conf See at the bottom.
npm run install:osx

Configuration

All configuration options can be found in kaholo-agent.conf.

  • PORT: the port for the agent to run on.
  • SERVER_URL: The Kaholo server URL.
  • AGENT_KEY: Random 32 bytes string, the unique identifier for the agent
